If not treated, acne will leave an ugly scar in your skins which are hard raised areas on the skin’s surface or pits of different depths. There are different methods of treating acne and one of the most effective and has immediate results is laser treatment. Future sessions will then be determined by your physician depending on the outcome of the initial treatment.

There are many different treatments available on the market but the one type of treatment that we are going to concentrate on is called Laser Acne Treatment. This is a method to get rid of and treat Acne and was developed to aid in permanently reducing acne and resurfacing / fading acne scars for serious conditions by reducing bacteria and healing affected skin.

Laser acne treatments involve the use of a laser to penetrate and remove acne affected skin so that new skin can form in its place. Sometimes, repeat laser acne treatments may be needed before you get the results that you want. Results will vary from person to person because acne affects different people in different ways, but there should be a noticeable change after one treatment.

Compared to other treatments, Laser Acne Treatment is quick and safe and does not involve the need to take any medication or deal with messy facial creams or gels which is why it is popular among teenagers and adults. The only downside is that it is probably the most expensive acne treatment. Prices range from fifty dollars to over three thousand dollars depending on the type of laser acne treatment you choose.

Laser acne treatment has been around for not a long duration, and it is rapidly substituting more conventional type of acne elimination and avoidance. During laser resurfacing, a doctor clenches a laser pen just on top of the acne or acne disfigured tissues and waves the concerted beam of light back and forth, vaporizing only the discarded tissue and creating a new surface for skin cell growth.

Although laser resurfacing is secure and unproblematic in almost of all cases, some post-procedural bruising and swelling are normal. Most people get good results after two weeks of treatment and rarely had to undergo another session, some people are unlucky though that repeated treatments are needed to maintain the desired result. There is no question about the effectivity of this procedure, recent clinical study shows that patient’s acne became 81% less severe following the treatments.

Costs associated with the procedure will vary depending on the physician or treatment centers that are offering the service. However the costs are usually outweighed by the benefits of undergoing a laser treatment. Currently there are no national restrictions on who can perform laser acne treatment; regulations only affect the laser producers themselves.

Be in no doubt to inquire where your doctor was educated to use the laser apparatus and whether your doctor rents or owns his or her laser apparatus. Many doctors feel that laser resurfacing isn’t meant for shady skin because it modifies the tone of skin too drastically and randomly.

Others believe that in the hands of a very knowledgeable surgeon, people with darker skin tones can profit. Lasers acne treatment is much more persistent than non-ablative lasers. Ablative lasers are not recommended for use on darker skin colors.
